The client has significant growth plans for its Risk Management Consulting division and seeks to recruit a Safety Manager who can take a lead role in growing the business from its offices in Aberdeen.
The immediate focus will be the North Sea, but as part of a global business the successful candidate will be expected to engage with clients worldwide.

About Risk Management Consulting (RMC)
The business operates globally to deliver risk consultancy support to clients in the Energy and other high hazard industries. Our consultants work with operations and engineering organisations to help them understand their HSE and asset hazards, and manage the associated risks across the lifecycle from concept stage through to decommissioning.

Key Business Drivers
Our strategy is to grow the UK RMC business within Aberdeen with support from our Aberdeen and Manchester offices.
This is a 50/50 % split role which will require business development/sales as well as direct service delivery and service delivery management.

Safety Manager - RMC
This is a pivotal role within the Risk Management UK business which has significant standing within the company and is critical to the growth of the UK business.
This role will offer the individual the opportunity to establish a reputation and extended network amongst the internal organisation and external clients.

Specifically you will:
o Grow Risk Management consultancy sales in the, Aberdeen and wider markets, working with colleagues to develop opportunities and engaging directly with external clients.
o Lead Aberdeen RMC service delivery and influence strategy and business plans to meet both the current and emerging needs of the business.
o Interpret the business plans and costing structure into goals and objectives for the business area and changes/developments required for the systems, processes and procedures.
o Contribute specialist knowledge within their discipline and/or lead in projects which provide commercially focussed support and/or service delivery to internal and/or external clients.
o Perform consulting work as a lead consultant towards clients

Qualifications and Experience
o Experience of working in and managing a consultancy team.
o Have a well-developed client network and a track record of selling risk management (e.g. technical safety, management systems) services to clients in the Oil & Gas sector.
o Experience of managing projects, deliverables, budgets and client relationships.
o Bachelor's degree, from a recognised university (or equivalent), in engineering or a physical science, e.g. chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied physics. In addition, preferably, a Master's in risk, process safety, environment or other relevant specialism
