Your Profile

As the Buyer you will be responsible for the management and
coordination of all purchasing requirements and of bespoke systems you
will have a proven track record of purchasing within either automotive
aerospace or special purpose machine environment purchasing kits.

Knowledge of Supply Chain Management is required and If you are
qualified to a CIPS level this would be an advantage.

A working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous along with practical
knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word and Excel.

The Role

As a Buyer you will be required to manage and coordinate all
purchasing requirements for the company across a defined list of
suppliers. The role will also require a significant level of
interaction with both internal and external stakeholders as part of a
cross functional

• Act as the focal point for all day to day purchasing requirements
across an agreed range of suppliers.

• Work with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on time, in full and
aligned with the needs of business.

• Support Operations in the achievement of production targets,
including the pro-active management of material shortages.

• Re-scheduling of material in line with changes to the production
plan.

• Escalate where appropriate, any significant issues that require
management intervention or awareness.

• Work with Suppliers

Key requirements:

• Previous experience in Supply Chain Management or related area

• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills

• Previous management of Supplier schedules and operational
procurement

• Experience within a production control system in either a lean
manufacturing environment or planning/Purchasing area would be
advantageous

• CIPS accreditation (or working towards)

• Previous knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
