Steel Processor/Material Handler/Overhead Crane Op/FLT Driver

A Steel Processor/ Overhead Crane Operator/ Forklift Driver/ Material Handler is required for a steel processing company based in Walsall. Duties include operating overhead cranes and forklift trucks to handle steel. Position is working 2 shifts rotating 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday. 40 hours per week

Duties include:

Operating a 20 ton pendant overhead crane

Operating a counterbalance forklift truck

Handling steel coils, processed sections and banded packs

Banding and palletizing stock

Using the in house computer system to book stock in/ out

General housekeeping and any other duties as required

Applicants MUST have steel processing experience and be conversant with operating overhead cranes and forklift trucks. Crane/ forklift licenses are desirable

Position is working mornings and afternoons rotating

6am - 2pm Monday to Friday

2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday

Rate of pay is GBP10.30 per hour

Temporary ongoing role with a view to permanent
