Education Co-ordinator
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full time
Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: GBP22,885 - GBP27,645 per annum

About the role

This is a great opportunity for a creative individual to join Sense as
we establish a new education service at our purpose built centre
TouchBase Pears. Working with individuals with a range of
communication and sensory support needs, you will design, deliver, and
asses personalised study programmes to promote communication, life
skills and the wellbeing of our learners.

Taking a person centred approach, your programme will support people

isolation and promoting community involvement through a range of
activities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree or education
qualification and you will have proven experience of working in a
teaching environment. You will be an effective communicator and it
would be fantastic if you have experience of supporting people with
sensory impairments, learning disabilities and/or complex needs.

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential
requirement for this role.

About us

Sense is a national disability charity that supports people with
complex communication needs to be understood, connected and valued.

Sense has a proven record of offering high quality, pioneering
services.

Working at Sense can be incredibly rewarding; we offer the opportunity
to work in a large, diverse and successful charity where people can
develop their skills, knowledge and careers in a supportive and
flexible environment. In addition, we have excellent training and
development, the opportunity for you to join our Group Personal
Pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement.
