Funeral Director 
Bristol (office/field based, covering Bristol and the surrounding area)

Our client offers a different kind of funeral experience. Their vision is that saying goodbye to a friend, family member or loved one should never be rushed, should take place in a private setting and should be performed to the agenda of the grieving party. 

Within peaceful surroundings, interment can occur as part of a private day to celebrate life and can take whichever form is fitting, be it a picnic, an activity or a music recital. 

As a family owned and run company since inception, they are growing and are now looking for an additional Funeral Director to join their team. 

Your Rewards

Our client provides the perfect setting in which to hold funerals and intern the deceased and has taken the time and effort to create services that celebrate life whilst mourning those who have passed. 

Your role will see you acting in a frontline capacity, supporting the bereaved and providing key advice during one of the most challenging times they will face. Although not for the light-hearted, the position comes with the reward of enabling grieving families and friends to remember and celebrate their loved ones in the most appropriate manner possible. 

Your Role 

As a Funeral Director, you will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of the interment process, from support with planning through to the management of the ceremony. 

Specifically, you will: 

- Meet with bereaved families and provide assistance with planning the funeral 
- Make all additional funeral arrangements including liaison with churches, cemeteries and crematoriums 
- Provide advice on coffins and headstones 
- Organise flowers, transport and death notices as advised by the bereaved 
- Help with the legal aspects and paperwork 
- Travel with the body and perform rites at the ceremony 

About You 

To be considered, you will need to have: 

- Events management experience which has included elements of face-to-face customer service 
- Empathy and compassion 
- Excellent communication and organisation skills with a close attention to detail 
- A professional, patient and dignified approach
