Specialist Mentor (Mental Health/Autistic Spectrum)

£15.48 per hour, with an uplift of £10.48 per hour for Student Contact hours

Part-time, casual hours, working as and when required to meet student needs

Fixed-term until 31st August 2019

We are a student focused, hard-working, dedicated team looking for the right person(s) to join us as a Specialist Mentor(s). We are keen to develop and enhance the high quality student support services available to our Higher Education students entitled to Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).

As a Specialist Mentor, you will provide highly specialised, specifically tailored, one to one support which helps our Higher Education students address and overcome their individual barriers to learning created by a particular impairment (primarily, mental health or autism spectrum).

The ideal candidate would have worked/be working in a similar role in another Higher Education Institution. You must have a degree or equivalent, meet the specific qualification/membership requirements of the DSA quality framework, have an in depth knowledge of the particular disability, and experience of working with, and supporting, young people/adults.
