E-commerce Website Administrator

Custom Lids is an long established Motorcycle clothing retail based company based in Newcastle city centre, looking to recruit an administrator to support its increasing online market.

Summary :

  • Work with bespoke website build on visualsoft platform
  • Generate and update website content (products, content, promotions)
  • Create and manage products on third party auction sites (E-bay, Amazon etc)
  • Implementing SEO into web content using keyword planning and content optimisation

Capacity to include blog writing and competent in all forms of social media

Experience :

  • Experience in using Excel, Word and Photoshop
  • Understanding of the disciplines required to drive traffic to retail websites (ppc, email marketing, link generation, SEO, Social Media etc)
  • Familiar with Google analytics
  • Understanding of basic web technologies (FTP, Browsers, basic HTML, Data files)
  • Experience of E-commerce CMS

Detailed responsibilities would include :

  • Update product information and content on the website
  • Create banners, images, promotions etc for display on the website (using products like photoshop)
  • Manage website configuration and parameters (eg payment options, stock management)
  • Liaise with website developer regarding the day to day management of the website
  • Ability to evaluate different approaches and strategies to improve the website sales conversions and customer engagement

Marketing :

  • Understand and develop sources of traffic to the site (email, SEO, PPC, affiliates, social media, video, catalogues, etc)
  • Liaise with developer or agencies to implement and support campaigns
  • AInvestigate, evaluate and assess new ways of generating additional traffic/orders

  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Punctuality

The Package :

  • Salary Circa £17,000
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 9 am to 5pm with 30 minute lunch break
  • Pension Scheme contributory (NEST)
