Penguin Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a leading development consultancy on their current requirement for a Development Planner in the East Kilbride region. This business offer high quality land and planning services to the renewable energy, waste and minerals, residential and commercial property sectors throughout the North of England and Scotland.
Skills & Experience
* Town Planning degree and/or Masters
* Demonstrable planning experience, preferably within the waste, energy, minerals and property development sectors
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ideally some local authority development management experience
* Organised and methodical approach to work
Responsibilities
Your role will require you to:
* Work closely with local authorities and communities, stakeholders and colleagues to build and maintain strong working relationships
* Develop planning strategies for various developments
* Prepare and submit planning applications
* Assist with the preparation of environmental assessments
* Provide support for more junior team members when required
* Attend public inquiries
The successful candidate will join a friendly and growing team and will have the opportunity to work on a varied range of development projects throughout the region. You will receive a competitive salary and package, including a company car and bonus scheme.
