Packaging - Head of Design

Our client, a rapidly growing and highly ambitious company based in North Oxfordshire is seeking a Head of Design with solid packaging design experience and the desire and energy to lead, grow and develop a team of junior-mid weight designers. This is a fantastic development opportunity for a hands-on manager who will still be involved in the day to day design. What does the role involve? As the Head of Design, you will be managing all aspects of the design and creative output and take responsibility for all online and offline designs as well as the commercial success of the design department. As part of this you will be managing the team's productivity and schedule, offering hands on direction and ensuring all projects are completed on time and to budget. You will also be involved in offering strategic leadership, working with the Creative Director in coming up with solutions to design challenges, provide quality control over the design output and establish best practice with the design and creative team., What skills and experience are required? We'll be looking for an experienced Designer with a great eye for modern, colourful and energetic design and experience of leading projects across print, production and digital platforms. You should have excellent organisational and communication skills, great attention to detail and the ability and experience to lead a project from inception to completion. In terms of technical skills, good knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are essential and experience of 3D modelling and animation software will be of great advantage. This is a full time and permanent role on offer for a salary of up to around GBP45K pa, plus the chance to become a part of this exciting and rapidly growing organisation and to join their friendly team.
