Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the publishing department as a Production Designer. You will be working with a team of production editors and designers in the development and delivery of traditional and digital material within the assessment division of a not for profit education company. The role would suit candidates seeking experience in publishing and design offering scope to progress within the business. As the Production Designer, you will manage a diverse workload utilizing a range of tools, including Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Suite of software. The role requires excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to deliver materials to high quality standards in print and digital formats within the agreed production schedules. You will also have responsibility for assisting with administrative duties required throughout an annual cycle as instructed by team leaders and managers.
Job Duties:
• Accurately develop, format and amend assessment material in line with the corporate style guide and within agreed deadlines
• Working with internal and external stakeholders offer advice on the design and layout of assessment material
• Offer advice on the development and maintenance of style and consistency specific to the subject content
• Offer support and guidance to the publishing team in the resolution of technical issues
• Liaise with colleagues in maintaining copyright procedures
• Assist with the departmental administration duties when required.

Job Requirements:

Essential:
• Excellent skills in using Adobe Creative Suite
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• An exceptional eye for detail and meticulous accuracy
• Strong design and technical skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and a diligent approach to working autonomously
• Ability to deal effectively and efficiently to challenges utilising constructive behaviour
• Capacity to proactively manage changing priorities and deadlines
• Advanced communication skills and the ability to effectively provide solutions to ideas and technical challenges
• A good standard of education (minimum to A-level standard)
• Ability to work within a flexible working environment
• An excellent command of the English language.

Desirable:
• Ability to work in French, Spanish or Japanese
• Multi-media experience
• Knowledge of the IB, IB Programmes or being an IB Alumni is a plus.
