We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At YMCA Birmingham we are currently looking for a Maintenance Officer to come and join our friendly Maintenance team. You will join us on a full time, 35 hours per week permanent contract working Monday to Friday, with an occasional requirement to work outside of normal hours and will receive a salary of £18,360 per annum,
YMCA Birmingham is an independent Christian charity providing a range of life-changing services for the local community. With a turnover of over £4m, we house over 300 young people, most of whom previously were homeless, and support them to get their lives back on track. We also care for 150 pre-school children in our 3 nurseries, and run various social enterprises to create employment and generate income for our charitable work.

The Maintenance Officer role
We are looking for a Maintenance Officer with multi-trade experience to join our small maintenance team working at YMCA sites across Birmingham. You will be skilled in general maintenance and repairs and alternations of fixtures and fittings, which will include painting and decorating, general plumbing, electrical fittings, woodwork, tiling, laying flooring, hanging doors and changing locks.
As our Maintenance Officer you will also have knowledge of health and safety legislation, to enable you to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. A full driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel to YMCA sites across Birmingham.
