Health and Safety Advisor

Full time, permanent post with time split across 3 Colleges

£35,550 per annum  

Christ’s College seeks to recruit a full time Health and Safety Advisor to take responsibility for the health and safety of all Fellows, students, staff and visitors to Christ’s College, Homerton College and St John’s College.  This role is to provide expert advice; coaching and practical support on all matters of Health and Safety and the post-holder will be pro-active in developing and maintaining robust frameworks and policy that promote a culture of safe working practices.

The salary for this post is paid at point 45 on the University single salary spine which currently equates to £35,550 pa. Other benefits include 36 days’ holiday pa (inclusive of bank holidays); membership of a contributory pension scheme and free meals in College when on duty.

Working 36.26 hours a week, across the three College sites, the successful candidate for this post will be a self-starter, able to demonstrate solid experience in a similar field of work and sound knowledge of current Health and Safety Law. They will be experienced in delivering effective change management programmes, show meticulous attention to detail and offer a professional and commercial approach.
