We also work with a number of schools and academies, the Welsh Government and hold a major contract with the NHS in Yorkshire and Humber.

Payroll Systems Support

Kier Workplace Services is looking to recruit to the post of Payroll Systems Support to provide effective management and communication to implement, adopt and improve payroll systems. Primarily responsible for new system implementations, regular review/updates of core systems and third party suppliers/associated support contracts.

The role is to be the primary lead for system implementation for Payroll and other services within the Central Support Service Area, identifying key areas of improvements to implementation, system and processes whilst providing clear documentation to evidence these improvements.

There is also a key focus on developing and implementing fit for purpose systems and operational support processes, ensuring the effective delivery of systems requirements to meet SLAs of all clients; working directly with new clients on site, to understand key requirements and that these align to business decisions.

This position will be based in Lincoln or Middlesbrough and we will consider permanent or a 12 month fixed term contract basis.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

You will be qualified at a level equivalent to 5 GCSE’s grade A to C in appropriate subjects and have significant system support experience. Additionally you will have the ability to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in system implementations, in particular i-trent and other operating systems
  • Proven experience in a payroll environment of legislation and systems knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of market drivers/needs, service requirements and a clear understanding of how the business must evolve to serve these needs
  • Proven success in delivering changes to systems at a configuration level
  • Experience of delivering innovative system solutions to support service delivery
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels
