ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIPS

A&P Falmouth is offering a fantastic opportunity to gain a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship

Daily tasks and duties within the roles will include:
• Working on various classes of ships and vessels

Machining & Fitting Apprenticeship
Use of machinery including:
• Centre Lathes
• Milling
• Horizontal Boring
• Vertical Boring
• Drilling
Overhaul and repair of engineering components including:
• Diesel engines
• Pumps
• Compressors
• Heat Exchangers
• Propellers and Tailshafts
• Rudders and Steering Gear

Pipe Fabrication & Plumbing
Fabricating pipes for ships systems including:
• Reading of Drawings
• Identification of material, pipe and flange size
• Oxy-Gas Cutting
• Pipe Bending
• MMA, MiG, TiG Welding
• Pipe Installation

Desired skills
• Previous experience of working in an engineering environment or relevant qualifications would be advantageous
