Bonfire Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Factory Manager for its exclusive food production client, a well-established and growing business in the South Midlands.
Our client is going through a period of significant growth and are keen to attract a dynamic leader to take this food manufacturing business with an enviable reputation to the next stage with their well-established and recognisable company.
Reporting to the Owner, and being a key member of the management team, responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the day to day operation
Develop and control budget and spend, maximising revenue for the business taking account of staffing and sales forecasts to produce monthly capital review report
Building effective relationships with suppliers to deliver products and services to standards as and when required.
Ensure the products made are of excellent quality
Manage and build a fantastic team which encourages departments to collaborate and improve the efficiency of the factory
Ensuring that CCPs, food safety, health and safety, auditing, HACCP principles are being implemented
Proactively create methods to drive down costs and overheads to improve performance and overall site profitability
Drive continuous improvement with operational efficiency.
Ensure the site is a highly reliable, responsive and competitive whilst putting safety, quality and delivery first.
The preferred candidate is expected to have:
A proven track record within an operations or senior production management position within food manufacturing, ideally within the chilled products sector.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
A proactive approach
Significant factory improvement operations experience
The ability to inspire operations team to achieve the highest standards
Ability to multi task and think outside the box
Capable of identifying and nurturing talent
