We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Risk Assessor to work across, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire  and North London. You will be required to prepare Fire Risk Assessments for general needs, supported housing and office accommodation.  You will also be required to work as part of a team who works largely independently but will be required to attend meetings and regularly check-in at our offices in Wooburn Green and Chesham. 


In this key role you will effectively carry out fire risk assessments as the competent person as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and assist in maintaining fire safety standards within Paradigm. You will directly liaise with residents and provide a clear explanation of the service you are providing. In addition to building fire risk assessments you will also carry out person centred fire risk assessments. 


We are seeking for a candidate who is a fully trained and qualified fire risk assessor, you must have a recognised qualification in fire risk assessments from creditable providers such as the fire protection association, fire industry association and/ or NEBOSH. Where there is no evidence of certification from a third party provider, the candidate will be required to successfully undertake training within six months of taking up post which will require completion of Fire Risk Assessment Training at the FPA followed by completion of the NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management. The candidate will be developed to attain membership of a National Fire Risk Assessment Register.


Essentially you will have the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines, lone work and organise workload without close supervision. Previous experience of housing/ estates management or maintenance activities in support of fire safety objectives are also required. Due to the nature of the role a valid driving licence and access to your own is essential.


Strong problem solving skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer care is needed to be successful in this role.
