Product Manager
THE COMPANY:
Brewster Pratap are working exclusively with a leading, innovative manufacturer in Alfreton who are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join their established team.
THE JOB:
The main purpose of your role as Product Manager will be to establish, develop and maintain local & regional product strategies to meet commercial and product group objectives.
In addition, you will be accountable to:
• Develop and execute effective strategic plans for the category
• Undertake sales and market analysis to determine market requirements for existing and future products
• Ensure the development and implementation of marketing and category or segment plans and pricing strategies for new and existing products within the Category
• Take responsibility for the implementation of a range of marketing initiatives to support the achievement of category targets
• Design and delivery of training for commercial managers as appropriate
• Lead the process for NPD and achieve target sales for New Products in the Category
• Manage the product portfolio, including management of products through their lifecycle and discontinuation of products where appropriate
• Delivery of new products on time and to budget
THE PERSON:
The Product Manager will have:
• Product Management skills (ideally in the construction, manufacturing or engineering industry)
• Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and engage people at all levels both internally and externally to the business
• Must have excellent problem solving, planning and analytical skills
• Project management skills
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Professional Marketing, Commercial or Business Qualification
• Numerically minded with a can do attitude and a determination to deliver results in a timely manner
As an experienced Product Manager you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of how different products have an impact on the sales figures for the company - working with the sales team to analyse the market and establish which products will increase profitability.
You will be able to present on the full product lifecycle from evolution to decline.
