Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer

South Gloucestershire and surrounding areas

Circa £30,000 - £38,000 per annum

Based on 42.5 hrs per week, price work and productivity bonus and out of hours payments


Our client is currently looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to join a small well established Heating Team.

In this role, you’ll assist in keeping around 9,000 homes across South Gloucestershire and surrounding areas, warm and safe. You’ll also be responsible for annual Landlord Gas Safety Inspections, diagnosing faults, repairing boiler/system faults and planned improvements.

What’s the role all about?

  • Carrying out maintenance, repairs and servicing on domestic appliances heating systems
  • Carrying out planned maintenance, LGSR’s and servicing works to domestic heating systems that complies with contractual procedures, statutory regulations and internal processes.
  • Carrying out fault finding and repairs to domestic heating/plumbing systems, identify faulty parts/materials



We want somebody who:


  • holds an NVQ level 2 & 3, 6129 & 6089 (or equivalent) along with CCN1, CEN1, CPA1, WAT1 and HTR1.
  • has knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and heating services maintenance
  • has experience of electrical testing fully understands all Gas regulations especially those relating to gas safety and landlords duties.
  • can contribute to an out of hours call out rota approx. one week in seven
