A Council in Nottinghamshire requires 3 Private Sector Housing Officers
About the role
You will primarily carrying out HMO licensing applications and visits to this Council's stock in preparation for the new HMO license changes coming into effect. You will also be carrying HHSRS surveys and scoring of tenanted properties as well as providing advice to tenants and landlords to advise of best practice. You may have to when necessary to enforce and prosecute landlords that fail to comply.
About you
You will be an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer and would have worked for a Council. You'll hold the HHSRS certificate and have a proven track record of handling HMO licenses and applications. You'll have up to date Housing Acts knowledge and will have experience of dealing with evidence gathering, prosecution and court procedures. Having and applying the new civil penalty will be advantageous to your application.
What you will get
You will work within a well resourced, managed and run department whereby you will be looked after by a professional and experienced housing manager. You will have the option of flexible working via laptop and hot desking if necessary. You are looking at a mid August start and a rate of between GBP22-27 per hour Umbrella based on experience.
