Manufacturing Assistants required for leading international manufacturer.
6-12 month Temporary opportunity.
Job Title: Manufacturing Assistants
Location: Gloucestershire
Hourly rate: GBP10.20 - GBP10.80 per hour incl shift allowance
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week
Double Day shift pattern: Mon - Friday
Qualifications and skills:
* Experience in manufacturing, machining, production environments essential
* A demonstrable interest in Engineering desirable.
* Requires initiative and practical hands on approach
Duties :
* Act as run around to assist various skilled machinist to set up machines to product precisions parts. Duties to include delivery of manufactured components to operation workstations outside the machining area, provision of basic tooling items at the machine to enable our skilled machinists to maximise their efficiency.
* Cleaning and Deburring machine parts as and when required
* Logging and supporting documentation for various parts
* Using basic hand and measuring tools to perform tasks
* Using solvents and chemical coatings to clean parts Tools and work area.
* Keeping and maintaining water coolant for all machines
* Co-operation and support - to Channel manager/ Team leaders in maintaining overall effectiveness of the work shop
* Improvement initiatives - assist in identifying areas of improvement and participating in continual improvement activities, including 5S and other initiatives as and when required.
* Maintenance operator driven responsibilities- Provide general daily maintenance of machinery, equipment and surrounding working environment,
* Audit participation as and when required
