An esteemed charity who successfully delivers a number of temporary accommodation, domestic violence and tenancy support services across Wales is looking for a skilled Support Worker to join their tenancy support team in Brecon. Joining a high performing team, you will be at the forefront of the charities mission to prevent abuse and homelessness, whilst promoting independence.

You will provide a floating support service for vulnerable families in housing need, visiting clients in their homes in order to provide relevant practical and emotional support. You will implement a support programme aimed at developing their skills and confidence in order to sustain their tenancy whilst remaining independent in their own homes. Using your support expertise, you will create tailored support plans that assist each individual in a unique way.

You will be comfortable lone working and confident in dealing with the unique needs of the clients, including complex needs such as those in housing crisis/at risk of homelessness, mental health and experiences with domestic violence.

Based in central Brecon, you will be working within commuting distance from a range of areas such as Powys, Merthyr Tydfil and Abergavenny. This exciting full-time role (37 hours p/week), offers flexible working and the opportunity to further develop your support skills in a rewarding field. Furthermore you will benefit from free parking and business mileage expenses.
