JOB TITLE: Head Chef
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP30,000+ depending on experience
WORKING HOURS: Flexible Full time 35 hours a week (generally weekdays only)

THE COMPANY: Our client is an Exempt Charity and is registered with the FSA as a non-profit making Friendly Society. The home is set in 5 acres of beautiful grounds at the western edge of Crawley. They provide a professional and caring home for up to 94 residents in their four homes on site: a 34 bed nursing home, a 30 bed elderly/frail residential home and a 30 bed home for people with Dementia. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Chef to join their team.

Key Responsibilities for the Head Chef role to include:-
• Preparing and cooking food
• Developing the menu
• Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance
• Ordering produce from suppliers within the agreed budget

THE CANDIDATE: For the role of Head Chef, you will be a reliable and flexible team player. You will be friendly, committed, kind, caring and an effective communicator. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Crawley.

Key experience essential for the role of Head Chef :-
• Good knowledge of food law
• Experience of budgets, stock control, menu planning and special diets
• Must possess L3 Food Safety Supervision qualification
• L4 Diploma/Food Safety qualification desirable
• Experience working in Healthcare/Care Home environment desirable.
