Field Sales Executive
Brook Street are looking for a Multi Media Field Sales Executive in Falmouth!
This is a responsible Field Sales position within one of the largest regional media companies in the UK, publisher of regional and local newspapers.
You will be working outside the office environment, as part of the Advertising Sales team in a business to business sales position, where you will be contacting clients in Cornwall, booking appointments for the sale of both digital and print products.
Job purpose and main objectives:
Business to Business (B2B) sales via telephone to new and existing clients to book appointments, for sale of both digital and print products best suited to the customer`s needs, established by effective questioning and information gathering with the client, alongside efficient research into the customers` business.
Sell and maximise advertisement revenue from a given category and/or territory, by maintaining and increasing business from existing customers and development of new clients.
Establish and maintain a high standard of customer relations, service and goodwill at all times with all customers
Territory management and competitor management (with minimal supervision/direction from management)
Plan, create and carry out key direct sales presentations in order to develop, build and maintain relationships to obtain cross region multi-media campaigns, increase revenue from identified key accounts in addition to non-traditional/print businesses in accordance with agreed business plans.
Develop sales strategies to generate leads, attract new clients and close sales to achieve weekly quotas.
To accept (with minimal management supervision/direction) responsibility for the development of a territory/category and the implementation of new ideas to generate revenue.
Advanced client territory mapping - plan and cover (with some management supervision/direction) the territory/category in an effective and organised manner, to maximise customer contact to maintain and develop existing and new business.
To increase advertisement sales to existing and new customers
To canvas new business opportunities on a daily basis
Sell the benefits of planned advertising, campaigns and other related services for the customer to best utilise and enhance revenue opportunity in a professional manner
To develop plan and sell advertisement features.
Assist customers by advising on copy writing, copy presentation, advertisement design and campaign planning. All advertisements will be of the highest standard.
Collect and process all advertisement copy adhering to the company deadlines.
Ensure appropriate arrangements are made for territory/category cover during any periods of absence.
Assist on other territories/categories as required.
Sales/Field Sales experience from within ideally a business to business environment, training will be given alongside the individuals self-motivation
Customer service experience
Able to manage territory and competitors with minimal supervision/direction from management
Administration ability and attention to detail
Good problem solving ability
The ability to demonstrate an understanding of systems and processes
Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Full UK clean driving licence
Previous experience within the media/publishing industry or a sales/customer service environment
Experience of a sales system or CRM system
You must be Educated to GCSE level including Mathematics and English
Position: Permanent, (9-5 Mon to Fri)
