An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join our team in Crediton on a 12 – 18 month contract and deliver a key manufacturing improvement project.

Your Role
As a Project Engineer, you will be tasked with the end-to-end management of a manufacturing project to enhance our efficiency and capability.
Working on the project from specification through to production hand over, you will lead a cross-functional project team and act as the key point of contact for all project communications.
Specifically, your role will entail:
- Managing the design and implementation phases of the project including risk analysis through to testing
- Overseeing all start-up elements such as commissioning, planning and hand over
- Leading and co-ordinating manufacturing, engineering and supply chain resources
- Utilising regional and global team expertise to drive the project
- Delivering equipment design and co-ordinating change management processes within engineering
- Ensuring plant staff possess the knowledge and skill to support the start-up
- Managing procurement processes for new equipment
About You
To be considered as a Project Engineer, you will need:
- Previous experience of managing large scale capital investment projects of up to £4 million
- Technical experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably food/pharma
- Experience of CI tools, TPM, and Lean manufacturing principles
- Solid financial awareness, able to manage tight budgets and deadlines
- An engineering degree or similar qualification
- The willingness to travel
