I have a fantastic opportunity with NHS Digital for a Project Officer role based in Leeds. This role is a temporary assignment for initially 6 months with view to being extended thereafter
Description:
The Project Officer manages the day to day support of the delivery of a number of projects or programmes at NHS Digital. The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams, and the ability to build positive working relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, up to Director Level.
Key Tasks & Deliverable:
The Project Officer will:
" Be responsible for handling multiple sources of information and producing a range of products, such as project plans, risk logs and reports, to ensure effective delivery across the project life-cycle.
" Identify key internal and external contacts at a range of levels, to understand their needs and manage their expectations, building a network of stakeholders to share information and achieve results
" Be responsible for planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities by developing and maintaining programme or project plans.
" Monitor project/programme budgetary spend and contribute to the compilation of budgets through annual business planning round and, where required, business case development.
" Be responsible for project information management systems, ensuring requests for information and data such as for assurance reviews, are met.
" Undertake the delivery of small projects, work streams and specific project deliverable, in-line with project expectations and quality standards.
" Have direct responsibility for the management of staff, such as project support officers.
Skills and Qualifications:
" Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience.
" Recognised project management qualification at foundation level such as PRINCE2 or Agile, or equivalent experience.
" Advanced level of Microsoft Office products, working knowledge of Microsoft Project and SharePoint or similar software.
" Practical knowledge or proven experience of programme or project management practices, tools & techniques including design and implementation of programme or project processes.
