I am seeking Teaching Assistants for an established care provider at their brand new Residential School opening in the Oswestry area of Shropshire, specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Working with young people aged 10-18 with learning difficulties - you will provide comprehensive, professional and tailored support to teachers to assist pupils with their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom environment.
To be considered for this vacancy you MUST HAVE:
*Good standard of general education with at least a C (or equivalent) GCSE in numeracy and literacy
*Ideally Level 2 Award in Support work In School; or level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in school
*Ideally Level 3 Young People Care (Health and Social Care)
*Experience of working with children with special needs
*Additional skills and qualifications in alternative communication methods for children with special needs, such as Makaton, PECS or BSL would be advantageous
Term Time position with a salary of between £15,500-£22,500.
