A truly wonderful opportunity has arisen within a major client based in the Peterborough area for a CAD / AUTOCAD technician.
With operations around the UK, and operating throughout Europe and around the World, this is a unique chance to be a part of a team that is at the heart of design technology.
The role will cover and develop space plan layouts, working from a variety of sources including room data, sketches, and client briefings using AUTODESK, AUTOCAD and potentially AUTODESK REVIT.
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Excellent working knowledge of AUTODESK / AUTOCAD
* Working knowledge of AUTODESK REVIT
* Working skills in Volumetric design / space
* Develop and space plan layouts of interiors using AUTODESK
* Revise / Adapt architechtural layouts using clients Volumetric systems
* Prepare planms, elevations, site plans, foundation plans for pre-tender submissions
* Liaise with external clients ensuring project brief is met
* Ensure best value in design to meet / increase profitability in projects
* Manipulate and revise existing pre-configured layouts to suit / tailor make to individual client needs & requirements
You will have superb communication skills and be able to present designs, design changes to clients and internal teams
Must be a good team player and have high drive level, energy and pro-active approach to solving design problems or other issues
A qualification in Engineering - Degree / HND etc - Design Engineering / Structural Engineering
This role is immediately available for the right candidate in and 'ongoing' contract role that may lead to a permanent position.
Standard working week 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (37?? hour week).
