We are looking for a Head of Web and Digital to develop and drive forward our web strategy, to optimise Cambridge Assessment English public facing global websites, ensuring that our web and digital systems develop with the customer at the heart of the experience. As Head of Web and Digital, you would be leading a new team to create an enhanced experience across our digital ecosystem to meet the needs of diverse global audiences. You will help clarify our vision, develop and then implement a roadmap to transform our web and email marketing systems. The right candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement and tenacity for making make things better. This is an exciting and dynamic role in a global organisation focused on helping people learn English and proving their skills to the world.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading the development of an integrated Cambridge Assessment English web and digital strategy to improve user experience on our websites
  • Developing a roadmap to secure funding and implementing a plan to deliver that vision
  • Providing strategic leadership to the Web and Digital team to ensure it meets the business's requirements, developing strong relationships with senior management in Cambridge and key staff globally to understand web and marketing automation needs for our organisation.
  • Working with the Head of Marketing Communications to improve the performance of digital marketing campaigns across our digital platforms
  • Optimising data capture and implementing best practice approaches to build traffic, improve SEO and CRO to improve ROI and plan further long-term technical development to continue to improve that capability going forward.
  • Evaluating email marketing and marketing automation to ensure we have tools that remain fit for purpose to deliver our digital marketing strategies going forward.
  • Leading the updating and maintenance of content on our websites.
  • Ensuring our brand is effectively realised digitally to build a world-class customer experience.

What we're looking for

Qualifications
  • Degree level education or equivalent - preferably in communications, marketing or business
  • Postgraduate in business, marketing or digital marketing (Desirable)

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Copywriting and editorial skills for web
  • Excellent standard of spoken and written English
  • First-class communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker who can understand complex issues and come up with solutions
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise a heavy workload

Experience
Essential:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the development of Web content, usability, architecture, development and design.
  • Substantial understanding of digital marketing
  • Outstanding project management experience, especially management of complex marketing projects, including planning, estimating resourcing, prioritisation of tasks, monitoring of progress and reporting.
  • Development optimization techniques to deliver the best user experiences in the most efficient manner.
  • Strong track record of working with CRM systems and integrating CRM thinking with website development
  • Line management experience
  • Experience of working in a complex global organisation
