Reed Education Reading are currently working closely with a School in Bracknell to recruit for a Head of Media to join in September 2018., The School is a happy and vibrant place of learning. They are proud to be a genuinely comprehensive school and offer a wide and diverse range of excellent opportunities, inside and outside the classroom, that they truly believe enables young people to develop exceptionally well both academically and personally. Success has been built upon high standards and expectations. The school expect pupils to take responsibility, to work as hard as staff, always try their best, and to reflect upon, and learn from failure and success. They also expect young people to demonstrate good behaviour, self-discipline and respect. They praise and reward good citizenship, but there are clearly understood sanctions for unacceptable conduct. The school talk about being on a journey to excellence and this means everyone in the community striving to be the best that they can be. Above all, they believe that anyone can achieve, and beyond expectation, with relentless dedication and commitment, tenacity and purposeful, hard work. The right teacher will be expected to uphold the values and ethos of the school, contributing to the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures, whilst maintaining the highest expectations of all students. Here are some quotes from the schools most recent Ofsted: "A number of parents were highly positive about the school and praised the individualised support it provides, as well as the principal's approachability." "Performance management arrangements are overseen effectively by governors who know the school well." "The 16 to 19 study programmes are ably led. Students generally achieve well and are supported effectively." The position in September will be full time and permanent with salary paid to scale (including London Fringe) plus TLR.
