Flooring Estimator / Planner

New Homes Carpeting, a growing flooring fitting company based in Harlow are looking for an Flooring Estimator / Planner 

New Homes Carpeting work with some of the UK’s largest housing builders and provide flooring to new build houses, the duties of the role would include:

• Measuring, planning and estimating costs of all flooring types 
• Inspection of new and old works
• Ordering materials
• Responding to client queries via phone or email
• Updating databases
• Creating order files and job sheets
• Visiting construction sites
• Co-ordinating Fitters 

You will be required to use Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook email and  enter data and update the online systems used by the company to record the work agreed and fitting schedule.

A background having used architects drawing would be advantageous as would a basic knowledge of flooring.

A good telephone manner and customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to often moving deadlines and timescales.

There will be some travel to sites, so a driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial. Please note that parking at the office base is limited and off site.

The salary range for the role is up to £25,000 per annum, working 42.5 hours a week 7am – 4.30pm at our Harlow offices Monday to Friday.
