What an opportunity we have for you to join our Housing Directorate! We are looking for a confident and efficient Personal Assistant to provide a first-class service to the Executive Director of Housing on a permanent basis. 

 

Role, Responsibilities and Key Skills

This is a high-profile role demanding a proactive approach with a “can do” positive attitude. As a Personal Assistant, you will be required to support the Executive Director and the housing senior management team in a strictly private and confidential manner by providing high quality administrative and secretarial support, helping to ensure the delivery of the Longhurst Group’s vision, mission and values.

 We are looking for someone who is customer focused, comfortable with change and ideally, you will have; 

  • With the key aim of delivering a ‘heartfelt service’, you will truly ‘own it’ by doing what we say we will do with a real pride and passion. We want you to put the customer at the heart of everything that you do whilst being a key part of the team.
  • A background of providing an excellent administration and secretarial support service and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience of proactively managing diaries and appointment schedules.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including word processing, transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, data analysis, and graphics. 
  • Efficient meeting organisation, including the preparation of notices of meetings and agenda papers; minute taking, production and distribution of minutes, copying, collection and archiving of all necessary supporting papers.  
  • As a ‘fun but fair’ member of the team, you will know how to bring the best out of your colleagues and yourself whilst working across large diverse geographical areas.
  • A proven track record for working well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • The ability to act with professionalism, discretion and sensitivity.
  • The suitable candidate shall ideally understand the housing sector and therefore whilst working alongside our colleagues not only within housing but also across the business, to develop a shared culture that goes hand in hand with our Group vision and values.
