We have an opportunity for two MEP Site Managers to join our Construction Southern Home Counties team in Bracknell to work on our GBP15m new build project with Brackenhale School (GBP2.8m M&E). This project is one of six schools won in the Thames Valley Batch.

Wates Building Services (WBS) can combine greater commerciality with an integrated approach across our supply chain - This replaces traditional M&E procurement on some of Wates Construction's projects, working with specialist sub-contractors to implement a tailored approach on a project-by-project basis. This in-house platform ensures we can deliver greater value.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Manage daily Health & Safety on site including RAMS and Safe Systems of Work
  • Identify and resolve daily risks and challenges on site .
  • Manage works in accordance with quality requirements
  • Effectively manage team performance and subcontractors on the project by ensuring they have clear roles and responsibilities
  • Attendance and input at progressteam meetings
  • Monitor position against contract programme and agree recovery programmes with the Project Manager
  • Assist with commissioning and a smooth handover
  • Identify and resolve engineering and coordination issues


We are looking for qualified Site Managers who have experience working on M&E projects and who have a pro-active approach to relationship building with contractors.

Mechanical or Electrical training essential together with CSCS, and SMSTS

To be successful in the role you will methodical and an effective communicator with a positive and engaging approach when supporting and educating the business.
