Working with one of the UK's leading legal firms, we're recruiting a Credit Controller to join their Nottingham City Office on a permanent basis and as part of a busy finance team.

Minimum Credit Controller Requirements:

High level of experienced within a credit management role, ideally as a Credit Controller or similar
Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this role
Proficient in the use of MS Office including MS Excel at a basic level
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, comfortunable liaising at all levels
Highly organised and proactive approach to collections

Ideally you will already have good negotiation and listening skills, will be organised and have a pro active approach to collections and will be determined to see the process through to conclusion.

The main focus on this role as Credit Controller will be to management the overall firm debt, relating to both individuals and businesses. This includes liaising with lawyers and their team throughout the business to ensure debts are collected within the agreed framework. It is important that you can manage your own workload independently and can manage busy fluctuations in work including year-end.

As Credit Controller, you'll also be involved in:

Organising meetings with lawyers to review outstanding debts as necessary, both in person and over the telephone
Collect the firm's debts by telephone, email and letter within defined guidelines, using the in-house Collections software
Ensure all notes are up to date and followed up in a timely manner, and evaluate and refer to the Collections Manager as appropriat
Overseeing new client procedures, including carrying out money laundering checks and setting up new clients inline with Money Laundering regulations and Firm policy
Raising bills inline with the Firm policy

We are looking for applications from individuals who consider themselves to be an experienced Credit Controller with a flexible and professional attitude and approach.

Salary is GBP20,000 - 25,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Working 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
