A unique and exciting opportunity to lead the local implementation and delivery of a community focused response to perpetration of domestic abuse.

This ambitious project is a partnership between Respect and Women's Aid to develop an early intervention response to perpetrators of domestic violence and abuse alongside the Change that Lasts response to survivors. It is funded by the Police Transformation Fund and supported by the Office of Police Commissioner in Lincolnshire and Sussex where the pilot sites will be located. The project aims to break new ground in terms of service delivery and partnership working, enabling behaviour change, increasing accountability and ensuring good quality outcomes for survivors and their children.

The project is currently being mobilised and we are looking to recruit a Local Area Manager, based in Sussex to work in partnership to implement the project and oversee delivery. Applicants will have a strong background in service delivery, working in partnership and with communities, experience of project implementation and a good knowledge of safe and effective practice when working with perpetrators of abuse as well as knowledge of local relevant procedures.

The Local Area Managers will be employed and line managed by Respect, and accountable to the Director of Change that Lasts Perpetrator Response.

Location Sussex, with occasional travel. Exact locations within the counties are still to be determined.

Salary GBP37,406 (point 42 on Respect's scale, related to the NJC scale) plus 6% pension contribution.

Contract 35 hours per week, Fixed term contract to March 2020.
