Adults Social Worker - Epsom
GBP33,665 per annum for 36 hours per week based at Epsom General Hospital, Dorking Road, Epsom, KT18 7EG.
In order to apply for this role you must hold a valid Driving Licence and have access to a car.
Our service runs from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. In practice you are likely to be required to work a minimum of one weekend shift per month and one late shift per week. Staff who are on the rota to work a shift falling on a weekend will be given a day off in lieu. Full time applicants will be contracted to a 36 hour week and these hours will be worked on a rota basis across 7 days a week. Further information regarding the working pattern can be discussed at interview.

About the Role
Are you a qualified, HCPC registered social worker who has completed their ASYE or equivalent? NB this applies only to social workers who qualified on or after 2012.
Do you excel in your profession and are you interested in the challenges of working in a busy, professional environment?
You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act and its application to practice in a social care setting. An understanding of the NHS Continuing Health Care Framework and how this relates to Hospital discharges is essential for Hospital Social workers. Experience of working within a health and social care environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
You will need to be confident in undertaking safeguarding enquiries, carryout assessments within the community and working with a diverse group of individuals and partner agencies.
You will be able to communicate in a clear, fluent, concise and jargon free way and in a courteous, calm and professional manner.
