Sales Manager / Campaign Manager - Defence
(MOD specialist)

We have a fantastic position available for an experienced Senior Sales Professional with experience of working within the Defence sector (ideally but not essential Joint Force Command / JFC experience) to become our next Campaign Manager. A role that will see you utilising your network to promote and sell our Digital portfolio products into MOD groups. You will consult customers on modernisations and use your industry understanding to horizon scan and work with our teams to identify opportunities in the market.

Some of the products we work with are so cutting edge, we can't even tell you about them..

But if you're a successful sales professional with a track record of supplying in to MOD then this could be the challenge you been waiting for. As campaign manager we will provide you with all the support and product training needed. You won't just sell off the shelf products, but deliver a hand tailored solutions by listening and understanding the customer requirements.

Your role should you choose to accept it:

•Holds overall responsibility for the Defence Digital Campaign, focusing on (but not limited to) Digital offerings sales into JFC and Defence/MOD. This includes responsibility for the Client Relationship at the prospect's senior/executive management level
•Plans, directs and controls sales and marketing activities within that campaign to continually reflect customer trends, market fluctuations and changes in business practices/technology
•Responsible to the Defence Business Development Director for the achievement and setting of the Digital Order Intake target and of ensuring Salesforce is accurate and up to date and used at all stages of the pursuit
•Is an active (and senior) member of the Defence Sales Team, supporting the Business Development Director developing the team and achieving the Defence OI target
•Is an active member of the Defence Extended Leadership Team, supporting all relevant initiatives
•Manages the Interoperability and Secure Solutions Sales Lead to support the Digital Campaign, supporting and developing that individual. To include management of the Secure Chorus relationship on behalf of BAE Systems
•Identifies value for the client by providing leadership and influencing direction and innovation. Manages customer relationship. Establishes relationships proactively and grows customer intimacy
•Provides industry expertise and client business acumen. Sells higher level digital services and solutions to the customer, enabling advantage for them in their business. Manages the communication with the client
•Identifies best practices and facilitates introduction across BAE Systems Applied Intelligence
•Formulates and executes business development strategies and directs major proposal activities as appropriate, including bid/no bid recommendations
•Collaborates with the divisions to establish their short and long term strategies to deliver services to customers within reasonable schedules and budgets. Builds an effective working relationship with the Defence Digital Portfolio delivery lead and/or project managers of projects under the digital portfolio to harness sales and delivery efforts to cross sell and upsell and address delivery risks and enhance customer relationships
•Supports the Defence pre-sales lead in the capture of customer requirements and trends to inform Applied Intelligence's Solution Groups and National Security Mission Product Portfolio specifically

What we're looking for

•An experienced sales lead with a team mentality
•Knowledge of the digital environment and requirements within the Defence industry
•The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and lead and coach junior members of the team
