Salary & Benefits: Between GBP6.55 - GBP7.83 per hour.

Working Hours: Permanent - 10 hours per week
The Company: Our client runs a chain of family run department stores is going from strength to strength - as a result they're about to open their 64th store in Matlock. You'll join a team, offering a range of quality products, including DIY, toiletries, wool, crafts, clothing and lots more. It's a team which prides itself on an exceptional level of customer service.
The Role: Love the idea of working in our busy department store? When our client's customers walk into the store we want them to know we care about their shopping experience and part of this is to offer a clean and bright environment. As our client's Cleaning Operative, you will be cleaning throughout the building including the floors, staff room and toilets. For some of the time you will be in the building on your own. The main purpose of the role will be to maintain the store in a clean, safe and hygienic condition.
Key Responsibilities of a Cleaning Operative to include: -
• To carry out all cleaning tasks as requested by the Management and necessary to maintain the building in a clean, safe and hygienic condition;
• To ensure all Machinery is used in a safe manner;
• To report and faults or safety hazards to the Management;
• Treat customers politely at all times;
• Maintain cleaning equipment in a safe and workable condition;
• You are required to be flexible in the type of duties you perform and are required to perform any duties as may be reasonably required by the Company.
The Candidate: The ideal candidate will need you to have had some experience of cleaning in a commercial environment. Be confident enough to work on your own and without close supervision. The successful Cleaning Operative will have excellent communications skills and be a team player.
Key experience essential for the role of Cleaning Operative based in Matlock, Derbyshire:
• Will live within a commutable distance of the Matlock area
• Any health and safety awareness experience will be desirable but not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate.
