Software Developer

Contract: Temp to perm
Salary: £25-30K dependent upon experience

A fast-paced, innovative transport technology company with in-house software development and software support teams, is looking for two successful candidates to be part of a growing team based near their head offices in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

The successful candidates will be working within a team of 7 existing developers, developing back-end and user-facing systems for the next generation of public information technology within public transport applications in addition to providing iterative improvements to existing platforms.

The candidates will be focussed and charismatic team players, who enjoys keeping up to date with new technologies and the flexible nature of an expanding company. They will, on occasion, be required to be involved in client meetings to provide guidance and assist in defining a scope of works for the client; requiring clear and confident communications abilities.

Required:
- Excellent SQL knowledge
- Excellent knowledge (VB and C#)
- Excellent debugging and optimisation skills
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience writing tidy, reusable or modular code
- Experience with version control software (experience with Git is preferred)
- API design and usage experience
- Awareness of application security and privacy implications

Preferred:
- Linux usage/administration
- Experience with front end frameworks such as Vue / React / Angular
- Experience working with and/or implementing continuous integration tools
- Experience working with NoSQL
- Embedded applications
- Experience working with Cloud Platforms
