This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a Level 3 Engineering apprenticeship with A&P Falmouth Ltd.

Daily tasks and duties within the roles will include: Working on various classes of ships and vessels, Machining & Fitting Apprenticeship. Use of machinery including: Centre Lathes. Milling, Horizontal Boring, Vertical Boring, Drilling, Overhaul and repair of engineering components including: Diesel engines, Pumps, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Propellers and Tailshafts. Rudders and Steering Gear. Fabricating pipes for ships systems including: Reading of Drawings, Identification of material, pipe and flange size Oxy-Gas Cutting, Pipe Bending, MMA, MiG, TiG Welding, Pipe Installation.

We are also offering the opportunity to work towards achieving a level 4 apprenticeship in Commercial Procurement

Daily duties and tasks will include: Commercial negotiation and placing of purchase orders with sub contractors & suppliers in accordance with Company procedures and work specifications. Verify compliance of quote to specification required, prior to order placement. Administration of Quality and Insurance/Indemnities information for all suppliers. Process & maintain records/database as necessary to administrate the Procurement function. Rectification of invoice issues. Control and booking of all hire equipment, Running of Month End procedure. Meet and liaise with Sales Representatives. Support of stores personnel and stock control.
