Who we are:


We are a specialist provider of Employment Law, HR and Consultancy services. We pride ourselves on delivering bespoke HR and Employment Law solutions to our client base throughout the UK and across all industry sectors. 

We are now looking for a new Employment Law Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full HR and Employment Law support, ranging from over the phone advice to representing client interests on site. 

The workload will vary dependant on client needs. There will be a requirement to fully manage all employee relations issues by supporting clients with matters including but not limited to:

+ performance management
+ disciplinary and grievance procedures
+ sickness absence management
+ drafting Contracts of Employment and other contractual agreements such as Training Agreements, deduction from wages agreements etc. 
+ drafting Company Handbooks and Policies
+ TUPE consultation processes and reviewing due diligence 
+ union negotiations
+ redundancy consultations both individual and collective 
+ settlement agreements.

The successful HR / Employment Law Consultant will have:

+ an under-graduate degree and be fully CIPD qualified or have a post-graduate qualification in employment law
+ a strong employment law and/or HR background and experience of complex employment relations issues, and experience to limit and avoid any potential litigation
+ excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully build and maintain long standing, effective and trusting client relationships 
+ excellent written skills
+ a flexible and adaptable approach to varying workloads
+ the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, and respond promptly to client requests using own initiative
+ experience of working in environments where decisions are made based on risk evaluation and professional judgment 
+ an ability to manage and plan diary movements efficiently 
+ experience in policy and contract drafting and 
+ proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook etc. 

The ideal candidate will need to have a genuine interest and passion for employment law and an enthusiasm to deliver first class results.

We have a national client base and so travelling to meet our clients in various locations across the UK is an essential part of the role and therefore you will need to have:

+ a willingness to travel and
+ a full UK driving licence

There is flexibility with regards to either providing a company car or a car allowance.
