The Horticultural Skills Unit (HSU) & Garden Cafe at Hepscott Park, Morpeth provide support, instruction and work experience in horticulture and catering to adults with learning disabilities.
The HSU has full time, permanent vacancies for an Assistant Manager
The assistant manager will assist in the management of the HSU and Garden Cafe and take a key role in service development. Your responsibilities will include staff supervision and appraisal, health and safety, and the quality of service delivery.
A commitment to promoting the interests of people with disabilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will have a minimum of three years’ experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health, knowledge of CQC Standards and experience of leading, managing and co-ordinating a staff team. Experience of horticultural work is desirable. A management qualification would be an advantage.
