Vehicle Inspector HGV
Chelmsford (Covering surrounding areas in south east territory)
GBP33,000 rising to GBP34,500 after successful probation period + Overtime + Competitive Pension scheme and benefits package + Van and equipment.
Vehicle Inspector sought within highly respected and expanding vehicle standards association offering full training on vehicle inspection and standards where required.
To be suitable for the role you will have vehicle inspection experience or come from an HGV mechanical maintenance and repair background with the desire to move into a career within the vehicle inspection industry.
You will hold a level 2/3 motor vehicle qualification as a minimum requirement and a class 1 HGV licence is highly desired but not essential. You will be travelling to a wide range of customer locations from those with a couple of trucks to multi-national brands with several large fleets of HGV's. This is a customer facing role so you will need to be a confident and professional communicator, the role will often be outside on hard standings or in pits and can be open to the elements. Due to the high volume and increasing numbers of customers there will be a need for flexibility to working hours with some split shifts being introduced to cover all daily workloads.

The Role:
* Full HGV vehicle inspections in line with national vehicle standards
* Travelling within South East territory
* Working in a customer facing capacity
* Working indoors and outside in a variety of customer locations
* Driving of HGV's onsite where needed
The Person:
* Either those with previous vehicle inspection experience or HGV mechanical background looking to transfer to a vehicle inspection career
* HGV class 1 advantageous but NOT essential
