Chef Manager, Warrington
Working Monday - Friday- Term Time Only- Working 42 weeks per year
Shift Times: Start Time: 07.00am - Finish Time: 15.30pm
Working 40 hours per week
This role is based working for the Catering Academy brand of Servest.
Based in a prestigious UTC new building environment that opened in September 2016 the role will be ideal for someone looking to develop their management skills. Working under the guidance of an Area Manager and Group Manager we are looking for a Chef Manager with excellent craft skills to develop the service and manage a small team of 5, catering for around 300 students aged between 14 - 19 and UTC team members over 3 floors. Main restaurant (The Hangout) PowerStation Coffee Bar serving Barista coffee and our small sixth form deli.
Responsibilities of role
-To consistently deliver excellent food and outstanding levels of customer service
-An aptitude and keen interest in baking in this role is essential
-Working to a tight budget to deliver the required financial performance
-Ensuring compliance for all aspects of food safety and health and safety is a must
-Ability to manage a small team in a busy 3 outlet contract
Our ideal candidate will
-Have passion and enthusiasm for fresh food and great service - you must be a real foodie with great attention to detail
-Willingness to grow the business within the contract
-Previous experience in a similar role
-Demonstrate a knowledge of current food trends
-Able to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels
-Have sound knowledge of hygiene, health & safety requirements
-Qualifications required 706/1 & 706/2 or NVQ equivalent
