Our client an independent insurance broker who provide personal and commercial clients with general insurance, health and life insurance and will writing services are looking for an Insurance Broker to join their rapidly growing team.
In this position you will be responsible for:
1. Managing a portfolio of existing clients including adjustments and renewals for general insurance.
2. Consulting with new perspective clients, understanding their general insurance needs and arranging new quotation
The companies client book is 70% commercial and 30% personal lines.
You will report to the Directors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Be responsible for your existing client portfolio's renewal retention rate and profitability
* Build relationships with your client portfolio
* Tend to mid-term-adjustments
* Broker new business quotes and demonstrate an acceptable conversation rate
* Assist clients with claims
* Send client documents and provide other administrative support
* Work with the current team to ensure business growth
The ideal candidate will have
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
* Excellent numeracy skills
* High attention to detail
* Ability to multi task, prioritise and work on their own initiative
* Confidence to advise and negotiate with clients and underwriters
* Ability to build, manage and develop relationships
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* A willingness to learn and a desire to succeed
* A proactive attitude and be driven and motivated to drive the sales element of the role.
Experience Required
* 2 - 3+ years' experience of working within a personal and/or a commercial general insurance broker or insurance company
