Reporting to the Technical Services Manager Structures, the Structures Technical Services Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance and safety standards of key structural elements including; Fuselage, Pylons, Stabilisers, Doors and Wings. These roles can be based at either of our offices at Hangar, Manchester Airport or Head Office, Leeds Bradford Airport.
You will review and control the Jet2.com structural Airworthiness Directive and Service Bulletin compliance, acting as a focal point for structural expertise and coordinating technical support as required. The Structures Technical Services Engineer will also ensure structural defect recovery is in line with the manufacturers, regulatory authorities and airline standards, as well as having input in the structural elements of scheduled maintenance check inputs. In addition, you will provide monthly fleet structural performance reports and chair annual performance review meetings. After a period of training, the Structures Technical Services Engineer will work 4 days on 4 days off, or Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will ideally hold an EASA Part 66 License or equivalent Aeronautical Engineering Degree with an in-depth knowledge of B737 and/or B757 aircraft and an excellent track record of structural or composite repairs. You will also have worked with both the manufacturers' Structural Repair Manual and production drawings. You will be able to communicate clearly and work methodically, delivering to tight timescales. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work co-operatively and flexibly, whilst maintaining strong working relationships at all business levels.
