This role will provide the strategy, vision, and leadership for high value, complex and multi-faceted Virgin Media Business opportunities from prospect, through qualification and to successful contract signature. In liaison with the Commercial Head of Department, ensure an appropriately skilled x-functional team are in place to respond to the complexity, scope and scale of the designated opportunities and bids.
Ensure appropriate management and controls are in place for the successful operation of a Pursuit Team and successful bid submission/opportunity conclusion.
Management and delivery of first class customer propositions (profitable, executable, aligned with the customer and VMB objectives), and clearly differentiating VMB from the competition.
Work with the Sales Lead to develop the Strategy and Vision for the customer and the Pursuit Team.
Collaborate with other VMB functions to ensure efficient and accurate processes, collateral and communications are in place to enable first class customer experience.
Decisive leader with a proven ability to set strategic direction, translate strategies into actionable plans, and deliver against challenging objectives across complex environments.
A seasoned business partner that has energy and drive to influence and impact on a strategic level.
The ideal person would be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a virtual specialist team of technically diverse and geographically dispersed people. To demonstrate commercial business acumen in managing bid costs and delivering the opportunity within the agreed budget. Drive efficiencies across the commercial team to ensure full process integration with all Sales processes and tools.
Experience working with Indirect or Enterprise customers is preferable.
B2B experience with a successful track record in a similar role driving bid/opportunity strategy, developing successful profitable solutions and managing opportunities through the full lifecycle.
