Project Controls Manager

A leading company is actively seeking a Project Controls Manager to join their billion-pound organisation, working on an initial 6-12 Month Contract based at their site in Glasgow.

This position is for a global aerospace / defence organisation has many sites around the UK, employing over 80,000 talented people. With an innovative culture, they produce the most advanced products within the industry which promotes their world-renowned reputation. Holding a large market share, this company offers each contractor an opportunity to gain security clearance therefore you must be willing to undergo this procedure. Furthermore, there's the possibility of longer hours, repeat work and longer contract durations for gifted candidates.

The Role

The individual in this role will run a team or teams supporting the Head of Project, providing practitioner capability in the establishment and maintenance of project control systems. The role will report to a Head of Project.

Responsibilities -

Develop and manage an integrated, accurate and timely control solution across all levels of project scope of work and alignment BMS (Business Management System), LCM (Lifecycle Management) best practice and the processes and proceduresthe following areas -

* Develop and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organisation Breakdown Structure (OBS) and Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM)
* Develop and maintain Control Account Plans (CAPs)
* Key Performance Indicator (KPI) definition, maintenance and upkeep
* Management reporting
* Controls Account Manager (CAM) definition, management and upkeep
* Risk and Opportunity management and analysis
* Baseline Change Request (BCR), Engineering Change Request (ECR) coordination and approval.

The Individual

* Extensive knowledge and understanding of Business & Projects / Programmes / Portfolios.
* Planning Monitoring & Control (PM & C) experience demonstrated in a professional role within a business or project/ programme/ portfolio.
* You are likely to have experience in a range of PM&C methodologies and toolsets.
* Extensive knowledge of the PM career framework including with Professional institutions.
* Comprehensive knowledge of PM governance and assurance processes and may be an LCM / IBR Assessor.

The Package

Location: Glasgow.

Duration: 6-12 Month Contract Initially.
