Senior Learning and Development Consultant

Fox are delighted to be working in partnership the UK's only National Trade Association active in the debt collection and purchase industry looking to recruit within the Learning and Development Department. Our client represents just under 400 members and offer a full range of services, training and information to 90% of the debt collections industry.

The Learning and Development Department are looking to expand its Apprenticeship Academy with the appointment of a Senior L & D Consultant. This exciting opportunity to work as an integral member of the team; developing, delivering, evaluating and driving professional learning and development. Our client not only provides a role in which to grow professionally but also the opportunity to help shape and mould the future of the Apprenticeship Academy.

As the role is national (not including Ireland/ Scotland/ Wales) we are looking for a candidate with the relevant skills and industry knowledge to maintain a field/ home based position with regular contact at the Head Office based in Newcastle.

The Role

* To design, develop and deliver high quality training, coaching, and tutorial support for learners

* This includes Diploma programmes, Apprenticeship programmes, face to face coaching, workshops, webinars and tutorials remotely via telephone & video link

* To ensure all learners and employers experience a highly engaging and effective service to exceed minimum agreed standards

Responsibilities

* Provide a structured and appropriate development journey for apprentices and other learners enabling them to maximise their full potential and deliver a return on investment for sponsoring employers

* To support on-boarding and induction for learners

* To ensure monthly performance update on learners and progress reviews with Learners and Managers including; registrations, reviews, health and safety

* Work collaboratively with the L & D Dept. at Head Office

* Facilitate and moderate discussion forums

* Ensure all agreed performance targets are met and maximised including achieving learner retention, achievement rates, and budget targets

* Use CRM and MIS system to maintain up to date information about employer contact, visits

* Contribute to the Quality Self-Assessment and the production of reports

* To co-ordinate and participate in company events, evenings, promotional activities as required

* Carry out all duties with due regard to safeguarding and health and Safety Regulations

* Ensure compliance with the financial regulations of the Trade Association

* To positively promote equality of opportunity for staff and learners

Person Specifications

* A proven background in the delivery of training and development of training materials, ideally within the financial services sector

* In-depth knowledge and experience of the Apprenticeship Standards

* Credit Control and Collections and Regulatory Compliance Industry knowledge and expertise

* Coaching Talent/Qualifications

* Pragmatism-with the ability to prioritise

* Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and processes

* The ability to manage many conflicting demands and challenging situations calmly, confidently, assertively, and cordially

* Personal drive and motivation to move projects forward at pace with creativity and innovation

* Initiative and judgement to work alone/with others to get the best outcome

* The commitment to own and invest in personal development with the aim of constantly developing capability and improving contribution

* Exceptional stakeholder engagement capability
