HR Advisor
Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP27,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Location: Tunbridge Wells (Southborough)

Purpose of Role
The role of the HR Advisor will be to provide a full HR service to your primary stakeholders that include support to the Insurer, Group functions and Leisure businesses in the South. There will also be a requirement to work with or cover other HR Advisors or Business Partners as the workload dictates. This role is a generalist HR position with a strong emphasis on employee relation issues and working multiple cases across your division along with another HRA and HRBP.
The role will be based in Southborough, however there is a continuous requirement to travel regularly to our other sites across Kent and beyond such as, Chelmsford, Whitstable, & Haywards Heath. This role will suit an HRA that is happy to travel to all sites in the group as required.
Responsibilities
* Ensure dedicated, accurate and timely support and advice for the whole spectrum of employee relations cases, such as Discipline, Grievance, Dismissal, Appeals, Redundancy and performance management issues
* Support the HR Business Partner to implement people plans across the client group
* To coach and support managers to ensure the development of skills and knowledge in all areas of people management
* Deliver HR related lunch and learns to the client group
* Work in partnership with Business Managers, Group HR, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development colleagues to ensure consistent, proactive delivery of support, and that all HR activity is aligned with the overall business and Group objectives
* To assist with the successful implementation of Group HR initiatives within the business area
* Support on Group HR projects as appropriate and for personal development
* To professionally communicate issues of concern or high risk to a HR Business Partners or Group Head of HR
Experience
* Experience of working in a HR Advisor role is essential as is handling a demanding and varied case load of ER matters
* Generalist experience in HR, including experience of working alongside a HR Business Partners or HR Manager
* Demonstrable knowledge of current commercial HR practices
* Influencing management decision making
* Identifying risk areas and reporting upwards
* Experience of all employee relations matters, experience of giving sound advice on employee relations matters is essential
* Willingness to travel as required in this role
* Ability to adapt to work with diverse businesses and working cultures
* Ability to host and manage formal employee relations meetings to support the business and management
