Manufacturing Operations Director

As the Manufacturing Operations Director you will be responsible for delivering management across all engineering functions for the South of the UK within the group. The main aim will be to deliver products to new and existing customers on time and to stringent quality standards. There will be a number of factors that you can use in order to be successful: Driving response times through reports and KPI reviews Formulate and recommend new practices and processes to improve its competitive position within the market. Be the link between the Board and the departmental managers for decisions, news, improvements. Identify, recommend and implement changes to increase productivity and reduce scrap. Optimise employee levels and material costs. Top down review of training, Health and safety, general housekeeping, feel and atmosphere within the company. Work side by side with the Board on major manufacturing projects, ie, Layout changes, capital equipment installations, acquisitions,etc. As the Manufacturing Operations Director you will be a hands-on leader. An individual with a strong Engineering Manufacturing background. You will be well versed in creating a culture of positive doers who will have a pride in their work and total buyin to the overall cause. Commercial astute, results orientated with a vigour for developing and maintaining relationships both internally and externally to ensure future prosperity. Strong problem-solving skills and high-level communication skills are a must. Standard hours are 8am -5.30pm, there will be some travel involved across the other sites.
